cyclone phylan

weve moved again into the south goa to the beaches of colva, benaulim where were staying. 18kms of white sand with only a few beach huts and palmsto break up the scenery.we have been on the edge of a cyclone, 10 fisherman kiled and 63 missing so it was pretty severe. cycled the length of the beach with watering stops on route and of coursea splssh in the sea.
fish and seafood is great here, everynight something different. kingfish and pomfret are 2 great eats. found an amazing tibetan restaurant they even do pizzas......
bird life is pleantiful, kites and ospreys glide the beach front, kingfishers, parrots, swifts and the biggest bats weve ever seen.(larger than a crow).think it was a fruit bat. snakes on the beach and cows wander freeily up and down the beach. they wash the water buffalo in sea after a hard days work.
just watching the sun setting into the arabian sea on the beach in a bar .. perfick.
thinking of moving soon but where do we go, hampi, mysore or agonda.......

  2. Great to hear from you again - we were feeling bloggless but we're OK now. The cyclone must have been an awesome experience but guess you'd sooner have a lovely sunset or two in preference. Like the sound of the flora and fauna - I'd never stop taking photos. Where will you go next - my money's on Mysore. Love to you both. J & R xxx
